Mio Machinery Works started business in Sumoto, Hyogo prefecture

1944

Awaji Jyukougyou KK was established

1945


Changed name as Awaji Sangyo K.K.

1952

Started production of Cast iron fittings

1957


Started production of Malleable iron screw fittings (Photo taken in front of office)

1964

Acquired JIS Certificate of Malleable iron screw fittings

1970


Started production of Steel Butt-welding pipe fittings

1971

Acquired JIS Certificate of Steel Butt-welding pipe fittings

1981

Qualified as API casing and tubing couplings production factory

1987


Awaji Sangyo (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established. Production in Thailand started.

1993

Awaji Sangyo (Thailand) Co., Ltd. acquired JIS Certificate of Steel Butt- welding pipe fittings

1998

Awaji Sangyo (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was qualified as ISO 9002 company

2003

Awaji Sangyo K.K. was qualified as ISO 9001 (Butt-welding pipe fittings)

2006


Re-organized as Awaji Materia Co., Ltd.

2007

Established technical center
Started joint research about "development of iron-based shape memory alloy" with National Institute for Materials Science.

2008

Awaji Materia (Thailand) was qualified for new JIS Mark

2011

The Research & Development of a new style seismic dampers was approved for the Supporting Industry Program by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

2014

Production of FMS alloy panel seismic damper
The new style seismic shear panel dampers using FMS alloy were applied for the first time to the skyscraper “JP Tower Nagoya”

2016

Tubacex Awaji Thailand was established as a joint venture with Tubacex

2017

Brace type seismic dampers using FMS alloy were applied to Aichi International Exhibition Center

Akahagi Iron Works was established in Osaka
1945
Rebuilt the factory in Higashi Osaka that was destroyed by WWII
1952
Akahagi Iron Works was reorganized into Akahagi Flange Mfg. Co., Ltd.
1968
Expanded factory and relocated head office in Higashi Osaka
1976

New factory was constructed, and its operation started in Mie prefecture
1991

Became the Pipe flange industry’s first JIS-certified factory.
2002
Certified by Bureau Veritas Marine Division
Approved by Class NK for forging products Reacquired JIS Certificate. Established Akahagi Flange K.K. in Sumoto, which acquired the whole business from Akahagi Flange co.,ltd.
2008
Qualified for new JIS Mark
2010
Qualified as ISO 9001 company
2014年

Automated processing line using OKUMA 8B-12B started operation

Akahagi Flange was merged with Awaji Materia as its Flange Division. Awaji Materia celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020 since its foundation.
